Greetings, and welcome to the online space I have been curating! Across these pages, you will find poetry, editorial, and academic pieces I have written, film photos I wish to share, as well as historical documents or other resources I feel it is important to gather in one place. I hope you encounter something that resonates with you. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Julia (she/her), 26, was born and raised in San Pedro, CA. Her professional, academic, and personal commitments converge around how policy can support or undermine individual and collective well-being. Her formal education includes a B.A. in Political Economy from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in Global Environmental Policy focusing on Sustainable Food Systems from American University, though many of her greatest teachers have often met her through informal means: camp counselors, farmers, poets, community organizers, and broadly, people of great courage who have offered the most invaluable gift of mentorship.

In her free time, Julia enjoys exploring the world through text, cuisine, conversation, on foot, atop a mat, with her hands in the soil, and more recently, behind the camera. This blog is her commitment to another deep and evolving love for the written word. She is especially drawn to stories that illuminate reciprocity—how the universal reveals itself through the singular, and how the will of the collective quietly dwells within each individual life.
